Tim Salyers, 61, Casey County, KY (1962-2024)

George Timothy Salyers, Sr., of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home. He was 61.

Born on November 12, 1962, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of Cecil and Edith Davis Salyers. Tim was formerly a welder at Tarter Gate. He was a member of Pine Grove Church. He enjoyed riding horses and raising chickens.


He is survived by two daughters, Dakota Ann (Avi) Salyers and Jennifer (Brian) Sanford, both of Russell Springs; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Gabby; a great-grandson, Ryland; two brothers, Jerome (Kimberly) Salyers and Ricky (Brenda) Salyers; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, George Timothy "Skittles" Salyers, Jr.; two brothers, Daril Salyers and David Salyers; and three sisters, Debra Salisbury, Vicky Lynn Byrd, and Diane Salyers.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at South Fork Cemetery with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting funeral expenses.
