Sheila Wethington, 61, Casey County, KY (1962-2024)

Sheila Kay Wethington, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at age 61.

She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and is remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed camping and cookouts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.


Born on September 21, 1962, in Lebanon, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Joyce Gibson Buck (Charles) Derringer and the late Gene Buck.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Bobby Wethington of Liberty; two sons, Joseph Bobby (Jodie) Wethington and Michael J. Wethington, both of Liberty; a daughter, Misty Nicole Wethington of Liberty; five grandchildren, Jenna, Blake, Michael, Mason, and Mia; a great-grandchild, Jaxon; two brothers, Randy Buck and Johnny Buck of Liberty; and a sister, Bernice Coffman.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Buck.

A funeral mass will be held at 1pmET on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
