James Scott, 84, Casey County, KY (1940-2024) James Alvin Scott age 84, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Wednesday February 21st, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 11th, 1940, in Casey Co., KY, a son of the late Johnnie E. and Ruth L. Cochran Scott. He was a farmer, former employee of Wolford & Wethington and Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co. James was the widower of Lillie Rose McFarland Scott who passed away on June 28th, 2021. Survivors include: four children: Tina Darlene Allen of Russell Springs, Johnny Lee and (Jill) Scott of Liberty, Vicky Renee and (Paul) Barnett of Waynesburg and Michael Brent Scott of Liberty, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother: Lonnie Scott of IL, and two sisters: Mary Ruth Alsup and Eva Albright both of IL. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by seven brothers: Leonard, Greg, Jerry, Herman Wayne, Vernon, Larry, and Bobby Scott. Visitation will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday February 24th, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 24th, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.
