Preserving quotes from family

Comments re: Phillip Coffey: some real characters

By Billy Joe Fudge

Phillip, preserving your quotes from family members is such a good idea. We need to preserve the wit and wisdom of our present generation and that which we remember of our ancestors, both family, neighbors and friends.

My Great Uncle, Coy Furkin said, "there are three elements necessary to catch fish:
  1. There has to be fish in the water.
  2. You have to have the right bait. And,
  3. You have to present it to them in the right fashion."
My Dad said, "If I can keep my 'years' warm, I'm warm all over."

After I told Ed Waggener that Columbia Magazine would soon have more "In Memory Birthdays" than "Happy Birthdays", he said, "that's the idea."
