Before the ice storm we were at Kyle's concert Back before the snow and ice storm hit and took over the news - just a week ago, but it seems like forever - we were in Greensburg listening to the music of Kyle Zornes. Returning to non-weather news, we want to share a few more notes about that event, and the talent of the Adair native who can be heard regularly singing and playing in Lexington. Another Adair County native, Stephen Collins, helped in bringing Kyle to the Greensburg venue. Stephen is owner of White Feather Promotion and worked with Kyle's agent to bring him to Longhunters Tavern on the Square. Kyle, a graduate of Adair County High School and UK where he majored in Theater, spent 11 years in Chicago as an actor and comedian. While there, he turned his focus to music and decided to return to his native Kentucky. He has written several songs, hosts Open Mics and plays music venues in the Lexington regional area. Owners of Longhunters are Bill and Justine Landrum, and their son, Billy, who runs the bar. This story was posted on 2024-01-23 22:14:51
