Adair Team qualifies for National Quizbowl Tournament

Two Adair County Quizbowl teams competed in the Carolyn Hawkins Memorial Tournament on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Cookeville High School in Cookeville, TN.

The A Team--made up of Trey Stephens, Bailey Watts, Andrew Zinati, and Christopher Armenti--posted a third place finish, and the teams qualified for NAQT and PACE national competition for the first time since 2018.

NAQT Nationals will be held May 24-26, 2024, in Atlanta, GA, and the PACE Nationals are in Reston, VA, on June 8 and 9, 2024.


The B Team--made up of Alex Perkins, Emma Compton, Annabelle Robertson, Sky Huff, Maddie Turner--finished 20th at the tournament.

Staff and players from Glasgow and Adair County High Schools are planning to hold the Glasgow/Adair Middle School 2 Tournament on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Glasgow High School, 1601 Columbia Avenue, Glasgow, KY.

Russell Co. High School will host the Greatest Snow on Earth tournament on December 16, 2023, at Russell Co. High School.
