Book Talk with Court Stevens on Oct 24 From Gregory Blair Join author and LWC Alum Courtney "Court" Stevens and LWC History Professor Dr. Elizabeth Tapscott as they discuss banned books and Court's experiences as an author at 6pmCT on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in the Thomas D. Clark Reading Room of The Katie Murrell Library. Courtney "Court" Stevens grew up in the knockabout town of Bandana, Kentucky. She is a former adjunct professor, youth minister, olympic torchbearer, and bookseller at Parnassus Books in Nashville, TN. These days she writes coming-of-truth fiction and is the Executive Director of Warren County Public Library in Bowling Green, KY. She has a pet whale named Herman, a bandsaw named Rex, and a tiny fleet of novels with her name on the spine. More importantly, she is in search of the perfect biscuit recipe and a kind way to get the children who live in her house to pick up after themselves. This event is presented by The Lindsey Wilson College Cultural Affairs Committee and The Katie Murrell Library. The Katie Murrell Library is located on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College at 210 Lindsey Wilson St., Columbia, KY. This story was posted on 2023-10-19 13:24:50
