NSDAR honors our veterans of the American Revolutionary War From Lila Ford, Treasurer and Member of Jane Lampton Chapter, NSDAR Members of the Jane Lampton Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution will be honoring our veterans on June 14, 2023, Flag Day with a display out in front of the Adair County Genealogical History and Research Center on Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. The display will feature a replica of the Betsy Ross Flag, loaned to us by Ms. Anita Dial. This flag is a display of the original flag that Betsy Ross made. The American Flag that flies so proudly, and 82 smaller American Flags. Each Flag has a Revolutionary War Veterans name on it. These veterans are either buried in Adair, Cumberland, Russell Counties or an ancestor of one of our members. We also honor the Unknown Soldier with his own flag. Below is a list of the veterans that have a flag. If you would like more information on becoming a member of DAR please contact Ernestine Bennett at the Adair County Genealogical History and Research Center at 270-380-1024.
