Barry Russell, 65, Green County, KY (1958-2023) Joseph Barry Russell of the Gabe Community of Green County, son of the late Howard Russell and Tillie Thompson Russell, was born on Monday, May 19, 1958 in Campbellsville, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at his home. He was 65 years and 18 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a farmer. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah Linnea Olson Russell of Gabe Community having united in marriage on November 7, 1980. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Ned "Matthew" and Kimberly Russell of Gabe Community; a daughter and son-in-law: Julie Ann and Mauricio Antonio of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Matthew Carter Russell, Jaeden Ostrowski, and Jose Luiz Antonio; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Ben and Beverly Russell of Gabe Community, and Gary Dean Russell of Summersville; a sister and brother-in-law: Wanda and Bob Beyer of Louisville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Greg and Peggy Olson of Pennsylvania; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a child; and a sister: Louise Milby. The funeral services will be conducted at 2pmCT, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Alix Hilaire and Bro. Greg Whiltow officiating. Visitation is requested from 3-8 Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 Saturday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or Wilson Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
