Gregory A. Burress, 71, Green County, KY (1951-2023)

Gregory A. Burress, of Greensburg was born November 20, 1951 in Jefferson County, KY to the late George Olin Burress and Margery Adelle Tucker Burress. He departed this life on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at his home, having attained the age of 71 years 6 months and 14 days.

He was a graduate of Green County High School, received a Bachelor's Degree and was the owner of Greensburg Lumber Company for 35 years. He was also an active member of the Classical Glass Corvette Club. He had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church.


Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law; Jerry Cope and father-in-law; Glenn Pruitt.

He is survived by his wife Pamela Jane Burress, one daughter and son-in-law: Shannon and Sean Buynak of Bloomfield, KY, two grandchildren: Anissa and Tucker Buynak, sister: Donna Cope of Frankfort, mother-in-law: Maxideen Pruitt of Greensburg, three nieces: Amy Miller of Frankfort, Beth and Leon Henderson of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Aleisha and Cliff Coomer of Bowling Green, four great nephews: Atley and Mason Henderson, Paxton and Zander Coomer, four great nieces: Ellen Henderson, Peyton, Chandler and Spencer Miller, and special pet: Attie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Todd Young Officiating and the Classical Glass Corvette Club members will be serving as Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 Wednesday and after 7 Thursday until time of the service. Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Sean Buynak, Tucker Buynak, Harold Cruise, Chris Dudgeon, Leon Henderson, and Mason Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of The Classical Glass Corvette Club.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to ASPCA. These can be made at the funeral home.
