Andrew R. Westholm, 37, San Francisco, CA (1985-2022)

Andrew Robert Westholm passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, in San Francisco, California, due to complications of influenza and respiratory illness. He was 37 years old.

The Celebration of Life Service for Andrew R. Westholm is at 2pmET on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Memorial United Methodist Church, 631 N Miles Street, Elizabethtown, KY, with Rev Neil Janes officiating. The family has chosen cremation.

Visitation is from 11:30amET on February 4 until the time of the service. The service will also be live-streamed to memorial-umc.org and Memorial's You Tube: "Memorial United Methodist Church Elizabethtown."


Andrew R. Westholm was born to Colonel (USA, Ret) Robert L Westholm, Jr. and Prudence Hutchison Westholm on May 8, 1985, at Nurnberg Army Hospital, Nurnberg, Germany. Andrew moved with his parents to the United States at the age of two to Centreville, Virginia, (Wash, D.C.) Other moves followed to Fort Macpherson, Georgia (Atlanta); Fort Riley, Kansas; Bad Kreuznach, Germany; Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania; and to Fort Knox, Kentucky, in 1995. At Fort Knox, he was a proud Boy Scout in Troop 801. He was truly an "Army Brat"; and was proud of being born in Germany, and enjoyed living in different locations during his father's Army career.

Andrew relished in the cultural diversity of the Army life; and had made many friends from several ethnic and cultural groups throughout his life. He developed a love of music; and enjoyed playing the guitar and attending musical performances.

Andrew was extremely experienced in Adobe Acrobat Pro; utilizing it to digitize law documents, attorney notes, and anything related to a legal folder via on-site or iCloud. He also had extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and every Windows OS released to date. In addition, Andrew had an Information Technology background having attended ITT Technical Institute for computer networking and completing Certified System Engineer modules years before. He also had Inventory Management experience both in the fine dining industry and in the legal field. This included a complete active information technology hardware inventory of an entire law firm that Andrew developed from "scratch", and it is still in use today by their main office in New York.

Andrew had an Associate in Arts degree (A.A.) in Paralegal Studies in progress from City College of San Francisco. In addition to being employed as a legal assistant at three different law firms in San Francisco, he also worked in the fine dining industry as a line cook.

Andrew Westholm was preceded in death by his grandparents: LTC (USA, Ret) Robert L and Irene Wall Westholm, San Antonio, Texas; and Raymond and Anna Pendleton Hutchison, Columbia, Kentucky; an uncle, Charles L Gore; and maternal great-aunt Prudence Pendleton Dugins, Greensburg, Kentucky.

Survivors include in addition to his parents; two aunts, Evelyn Scott (Donald), San Antonio, Texas; Louella H. Gore, Russell Springs, Kentucky; one uncle, Ray Hutchison, Jr., wife Kay, of Gamaliel, Kentucky. His first cousins: Sara J Marrow, W Robert Cochran, Lou Ann G Flanagan, Cynthia H Hancock, Dr. C Len Gore ll., Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin, and Dr. Lanny R Gore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Andrew R. Westholm to:
