Wanda Mae Wethington, 75, Russell Springs, KY (1947-2023) Wanda Mae Wethington of Russell Springs passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. She was 75 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 1pmCT on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 11amCT on Sunday, until time for services. Wanda was born August 1, 1947, in Jamestown, daughter of the late Oves Cardell and Elizabeth Ballenger Chapman. Her family was her number one thing. Wanda loved her husband, her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a faithful Christian woman who would go out of her way for anyone. Wanda was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband, Francis "Curt" Wethington; her son, Daryl (and Beverly) Watts, of Russell Springs; her brothers, Rudy (and Jenny) Chapman, of Jamestown, and John (and Jo) Chapman, of Indiana; her sisters, Cathy Grider and Lucy Sweigart, both of Indiana; her sister-in-law, Jackie Chapman, of Jamestown; her granddaughters, Hannah (and Jesse) York and Dana Watts; and her great-granddaughter who is "on the way", Molly Mae York. Along with her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Gene Watts; her brother, Ronnie Chapman; and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Grider and John Sweigart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a cancer fund of your choice.
