Lee Jean Carver, 86, Cumberlnd County, KY (1936-2023) Lee Jean Carver, of Green Grove Road in Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville having attained the age of 86 years, 2 months & 22 days. She was a faithful member of the Green Grove Baptist Church since her youth and served in many positions as was needed, a graduate of Burkesville High School Class of 1955, received her teaching degree from Western Kentucky University, Taught for over 38 years in the Cumberland County School System having taught at Goose Creek, Leslie, Salt Lick Bend, Chestnut Grove, Kettle, finishing up at Cumberland County Elementary. She was born in the Green Grove Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Saturday, October 10, 1936 the daughter of Raymon & Bertha (Burchett) Carver. She worked at Norris-New Funeral Home for almost 20 years, A member of the retired Teachers Association, served on The Cumberland County Extension Service District Board, member of The Hegira Homemakers Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Donald "Beaver" Daniels. She is survived by her Sister, Joyce Carver Daniels of Burkesville, brother, John (& Linda) Carver of Burkesville, Niece, Shauna (& Teresa) Carver, Nephews, Bret (& Lacosta) Carver, Scot (& Amy) Daniels, Eric (& Jennifer) Carver, great Nieces & Nephews, Amber (& Jake) Dial, Gavin (& Lanie) Vincent, Devin Daniels, Vallie Kate Carver, John Ross Carver & Linley Carver. A host of many Students & Friends also survive. The Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Nick Catron & Bro. Jordan Lockridge officiating. Burial will be in the Vincent Cemetery in Cumberland County. The family will receive friends after 3 Tuesday until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
