Johnson earns bid to NAIA National Championship

Bowling Green, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's cross-country team finished in fourth place at the 2022 MSC Championship on Friday afternoon at Phil Moore Park.

Meredith Johnson finished in fourth place with a time of 19 minutes and 26.1 seconds. The individual result qualified the senior for the NAIA National Championship later this month.


Annabelle Walker crossed the line in 23rd place with a time of 20:53.0 in the 5k race as Kaylee Masden (20:56.9) and Lotte Gertler (20:58.3) finished in 26th and 27th, respectively.

Alyssa Sharp took 44th at 21:40.9, Macey Wilson took 56th at 22:06.3, Olivia Rudder took 58th at 22:11.7, and Laura Cuin took 59th at 22:18.1.

Madisyn Mitoraj, Eliza Hagens, Cady Schoeck, Zoe Wilson, and Jamie Moses also competed in the event which featured 105 student-athletes.

Cumberlands (Ky.) won the event as Bethel's (Tenn.) Andrea De La Rosa won the individual title with a time of 18:56.4.

Johnson is set to compete at the NAIA National Championship on Nov. 18 in Tallahassee, Florida.
