Soccer: Blue Raiders successful in Pikeville

Pikeville, KY - On Saturday afternoon, the Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team bounced back from its first conference loss of the season, defeating hosts Pikeville in shutout fashion, 2-0. The win helps the Lady Blue Raiders keep pace in the Mid-South standings, and is the program's sixth consecutive shutout against the Bears and 19th all-time in 21 meetings.

On Saturday evening, the Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team rattled off three unanswered goals to handle the upset-minded Pikeville men, 3-1. The homestanding Bears broke through after just 90 seconds, but that's all they would get past Pablo Costa and the Blue Raider defense for the rest of this affair.

Saturday's outing was the final road contest of the regular season for both men and women. Next on the docket, Lindsey Wilson hosts Bethel University (TN) on October 19, 2022.
