James L. Barnett, Green County, KY (1951-2022)

James L. Barnett was born October 25, 1951 in Green County, KY to the late Rollin Barnett, Jr. and Lillie Mae (Miller) Barnett. At an early age he professed his love for Jesus Christ. He graduated from Green County High School, Greenburg, KY.

He was employed by GE in Louisville, KY before servicing in the United States Armed Forces from which he was honorably discharged. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company Aurora, Illinois as an Engineer after 40 years of service. James enjoyed traveling, sports, clean cars and his manicured yard, also loved his family and friends.



He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Thresa Barnett, one son, Jeremy Barnett (Tricia Corben-special friend) Joliet, Illinois, one daughter, Shalonda Watson (Joshua) of Joliet, Illinois, five brothers; Earl Barnett (Mary Jane) Campbellsville, KY, Donnie and Ronnie Woolridge of Columbia KY, Larry Woolridge of Danville, KY, Joshua Woolridge of Missouri, three sisters; Etta Salter (Tim) Cincinnati, OH, Rose Heath of Corona, CA , and Holly Barnett, Greensburg, KY, one grandchild, Jett Barnett, Joliet, Illinois.

James leaves to cherish three Aunts and one Uncle, host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 11amET Thursday, July 14, 2022. Wake and Visitation: 9-11amET Thursday, July 14, 2022

Ministers: Rev. David Mitchell, officiating and Rev. Shayne Stockton, Eulogist. Burial: Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylor County, KY.
