He was the son of the late Coy Eastridge and Opal Hovious Eastridge, and he was born on January 27, 1939 at the family's home on Hovious Ridge. He was a life-long farmer. He grew up on a dairy farm and continued dairy farming until the cows were sold in 2001. Upon selling the dairy cows, he continued with beef cattle, horses, pigs, and sheep. Throughout his farming career, he enjoyed caring for and trading many different animals, sometimes even exotic animals. He bred horses and donkeys for many years, including small and large donkeys until the time of his death. Over many years, he was an avid raccoon, rabbit, and quail hunter. He enjoyed hunting with many family members and passing this interest on to his two sons. He often spoke of hunting trips to Canada and Illinois. He traded hunting dogs for rabbits and raccoons for many years. He was an avid collector of knives and guns, which is an interest he passed on to his sons and daughter as well.

He was married to Mildred Aliene Davidson Eastridge on January 27, 1959. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in January, 2022. She worked side-by-side with him on the farm and survives today.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Eastridge of Elkhorn. In addition to his spouse, he is survived by two sons and one daughter, Lenuel Eastridge (Donna) of Marysville, OH, Howard Eastridge (Briann) of Columbia, and Paula Bault of Knifley; six grandchildren, Matthew (Alecia) Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY, Megan (Justin) McCreary of Marysville, OH, Jordan (LeeAnn) Eastridge of Saloma, KY, Brittany Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY, Bethany (Cody) Hammond of Brandenburg, KY, and Sarah (Brian) Showalter of Marysville, OH; two step-grandchildren, Chaz (Samantha) Giles of Columbia, KY and Van (Karli) Giles of Lexington, KY; eleven great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Byron (Betty) Eastridge of Knifley, Mary Williams of Elkhorn, Myra Greer of Knifley, and Ronnie (Darlene) Eastridge of Campbellsville; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Eastridge of Elkorn; and many other family members and friends who have been a tremendous support.
