Flamingo Flocking: Have Some Summer Fun with ISP

By Anna Grace Peterson

The International Student Programs (ISP) and United Nations Club (UNC) of Lindsey Wilson College are proud and excited to announce our first-ever Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser.

ISP is working hard to raise funds to continue providing wonderful opportunities to LWC students and the surrounding community (such as the fantastic International Marketplace!). Therefore, we are seeking participation from the local community to enjoy the summer fun while also supporting our International Student Program and United Nations Club.

This year, from June 21, 2022, through July 1, 2022, Flamingo Wranglers (members from our ISP team) will be accepting donations of a minimum of $20.00 USD to place 20+ plastic pink flamingos on your colleagues', friends', or family members' front yards.

The flock of flamingos will stay at each location for approximately 2-3 days and can be removed and relocated for a small donation.

Payments can be cash or check and should be made out to "International Student Programs" and dropped off at the ISP House (located at 304 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, KY) or mailed to 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia, KY, 42728.

What Happens if You Have Been Flocked?
Contact ISP and, for a small donation (cash or check only), the ISP Flamingo Wranglers will come to your home or business and remove the flock!

If you know someone whose yard would be a good fit for the next flock of flamingos, let ISP know by naming them for the next surprise flocking (You will remain anonymous unless you request otherwise).

Want to support ISP/UNC but do not want to deal with a flocking?
ISP offers exclusive flocking insurance for a minimum donation fee of $20. This insurance will ensure that no flamingos roost on your lawn as they migrate around campus and the city. If interested, you will want to contact us soon! You never know where the flamingos will show up next...

Let's have some pink flamingo fun and happy flocking!

If you have any questions and/or are interested in participating, please let us know by contacting isp@lindsey.edu, or calling 270-384-8163. Thank you for supporting us and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
