Kristy Kaye Thompson, 40, Green Co., KY (1981-2022)

Kristy Kaye Thompson of Green County passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville. She was 40 years old.

The funeral services for Kristy Kaye Thompson will be conducted at 11amCT on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Eudell Stilts officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Barren Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Saturday until time of the funeral service.


Kristy Kaye Thompson, daughter of James Winford "Wimpy" Thompson and his companion, Betty Shirley of Green County, and the late Pamela D. Bell Thompson, was born on Wednesday, March 18, 1981 in Green County.

Besides her father, she is survived by her husband: Erik Thompson of Green County having united in marriage on August 31, 2002.

Other survivors include a daughter and son: Andrea Thompson and James Edward Thompson both of Green County; three brothers: Daniel Thompson of Rineyville, David Thompson and his wife, Brandy, and Nathan Thompson and his fiance, Niki Curry all of Green County; mother-in-law: Sherri Whitlow; father-in-law: Lester Thompson and his wife, Marcia all of Green County; grandparents-in-law: Bill and Tylene Clark of Green County; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Taylor County SPCA, which can be made at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers: Lile Thompson, Wayne Thompson, Tabatha Meadows, Fallon Milby
