Basketball: LWC Women begin conference play against Bethel

The No. 14-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team will begin Mid-South Conference play when they travel to Bethel (TN) on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Tipoff is scheduled for 6pmCT.

The Blue Raiders (3-0, 0-0 MSC) enter the match after defeating Midway (KY) 74-64 on the road.


Bree Glover led the Blue Raiders to the victory with her second double-double of the season scoring 20 points and recording 17 rebounds. Sydnie Hall, Amelia Hodges, and Maleigha Oldham each had double digits in scoring in the game.

Glover leads the team in both points per game with 15 and rebounds averaging 11.3 per game so far this season. As a team, the Blue Raiders are averaging 82.7 points per game and are shooting 42.6 percent from beyond the arc, the 5th best three-point shooting percentage in the country.

Bethel (3-1, 0-0 MSC) enters the match after losing an exhibition match against Tennessee Tech 46-85 on November 9. Ryann Roberts leads the Wildcats in scoring averaging 13.8 points per game while Millie Bryant leads the team in rebounds per game averaging 6.5 per game. As a team, the Wildcats are averaging 68.5 points per game and are shooting 43 percent from the floor.

Tomorrow's meeting will mark the 10th time the two programs have met with the Wildcats holding a 6-3 advantage over the Blue Raiders. Lindsey Wilson won the previous match against the Wildcats away from home on February 8th, 78-76 overcoming a 19-point deficit in the final few minutes of regulation.
