Carl Thomas Berry, 87, Greensburg, KY (1934-2021)

Carl Thomas Berry of Greensburg passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 87 years old.

The funeral services for Carl Thomas Berry will be conducted at 1pmCT on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Steve James and Bro. Pat Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Walk-through visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Saturday until time of the funeral service. Per family request mask are required during visitation.


Carl Thomas Berry, son of the late Willie Thomas Berry and Beatrice Pearl Parson Berry, was born on Monday, July 30, 1934 in Green County.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon. Mr. Berry was a skilled self-employed carpenter and was also a veteran having served in the United States Army.

Survived by his wife of 67 years, Julia Ann Rodgers Berry of Greensburg, having united in marriage on June 26, 1954.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Danny Bills, and Tracy and Mike Bills all of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Chelsea Bills of Louisville, Natalie Curry and her husband, Grant, Grayson Bills and his wife, Baylee all of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren: Finn Curry, Norah Curry, and Ruby Curry all of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Berry was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Charlotte Ann Berry in 1955.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
