November designated to honoring all our Veterans

By Gale Cowan, Adair County Judge Executive

It is an honor to proclaim the month of November as Veterans and Military Families Month in Adair County. Whereas service men and women protect and defend our most precious freedoms, values, and rights we take for granted daily.

Whereas soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen spend countless hours away from their families and loved ones serving our country in horrible and dangerous conditions.

Whereas Adair county is honored to have a proud heritage and legacy of brave men and women who serve our country selflessly.

Whereas Adair county would like to honor and acknowledge not only the sacrifices of our service men and women, but their family and loved ones who spend endless nights, anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays apart.

Now therefore I, Gale Cowan, Judge Executive of Adair County, do hereby proclaim the entire month of November as national veterans and military families month. I call upon all governmental agencies, local businesses, and citizens of Adair county, to show your admiration and respect in observance of our heroic service men and women and their families this month of November with appropriate programs and activities.
