Basketball: LWC Women travel to face Midway By Kyle Jackson The No. 16-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team will return to the road as they travel to take on the Eagles of Midway (KY) Thursday evening, November 11, 2021. Tipoff is scheduled for 5pmCT. The Blue Raiders (2-0, 0-0 MSC) enter the match after defeating Berea (KY) 91-64 in their home opener. Amerah Steele led the Blue Raiders to the victory with a career-high 21 points adding six rebounds and two assists. Amelia Hodges and Maleigha Oldham each had 14 points while Oldham had a game-high eight rebounds. Bree Glover leads the team in points per game with 18 so far this season while Oldham leads the team in rebounds averaging 11 per game. As a team, the Blue Raiders are averaging 87 points per game to open the season, the 14th best in the country. Midway (2-1, 0-0 RSC) enters the match after defeating Campbellsville-Harrodsburg (KY) 92-55 Tuesday night. Dezeree White leads the Eagles in scoring averaging 25.5 points per game and rebounding averaging six rebounds per game. As a team, the Eagles are shooting 43.4 percent from the floor including 42.9 percent from the three-point line, the 10th best percentage in the nation. Tomorrow's meeting will mark the 16th time the two programs have met with the Blue Raiders holding a 14-1 advantage over the Eagles.
