Basketball: LWC Men prepare to face Simmons College of KY By Christopher Webster The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball teams look to win their fifth consecutive game as they face Simmons College of Kentucky Tuesday night at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Tipoff is scheduled for 6pmCT. The Blue Raiders (4-1, 0-0 MSC) defeated Louisiana College 75-72 in their last game. Elijah Jordan led Lindsey Wilson in scoring, recording a season-high 20 points along with four rebounds and three assists. Jordan was also efficient at the free-throw line, knocking down seven of his 10 attempts. Giir Ring scored a season-high 14 points and Mark Edmond chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Blue Raiders shot 50 percent from beyond the arc and 54.9 percent overall. On the year, Jackson Harlan leads the Blue Raiders in scoring with 14 points per game while shooting 58.8 percent from the three-point line. Edmond has been controlling the glass for Lindsey Wilson with a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game while also averaging 2.4 steals per game. The Falcons (0-4, 0-1 NCCAA) enter the game after falling to Pikeville (Ky.) 110-41. Donald Palmer and Montrice Miller scored 12 and 10 points, respectively. As a team, Simmons College collected 19 rebounds and forced 11 turnovers. Gleen Queen and Don'quel Andrews lead Simmons College in scoring, both averaging 9 points and game. Andrews also leads the Falcons in rebounding with 4.3 per game. This will be the fourth time these two teams have met with Lindsey Wilson leading the all-time series 3-0. The last time these two faced each other was on Dec. 3, 2019, when the Blue Raiders came away with a 79-69 victory. Live stats and video will be available for the game.
