Columbia Ordinance 830.18 changes garbage rates From Woody Sharpe, City Clerk/Treasurer City of Columbia Ordinance 830.18 amends Ordinance 830.17, setting fees for the collection of garbage and trash from residences, churches, and commercial establishments with the boundaries of the City of Columbia. The new ordinance was first read on September 10, 2021, and the second reading was on October 4, 2021. New rates are effective as of October 7, 2021. Residential rates are now $18.00 per month, Church rates are $18.00 per month, and all Commercial and Industrial rates are based on the rate of $65.00 per ton. 20211006-Columbia-Ordinance-830.18 (PDF, 162kb).
