CPD: Felony assault

Columbia Police Department

The Columbia Police Department responded to an active domestic call on Baker Street on Friday night, October 1, 2021.

Upon arrival, officers could hear male subject from outside the residence and quickly made entry into the home. After making contact and observing visible injuries on female victim and speaking with her, male subject was placed into custody with no further incident.


Wesley Davis, 36, of Columbia, was taken into custody with two felony charges: assault 4th domestic violence with 3 or more instances within 5 years and strangulation 1st degree.

Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Josh Durbin.
