James C. McFarland, 69, Columbia, KY (1952-2021) James C. McFarland of Columbia passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Jamestown, KY. He was 69 years old. Mr. McFarland chose cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time. He was born on June 12, 1952 in Joliet, IL to the late Raymond McFarland and Betty Weakley Flaynik. Mr. McFarland was of the Catholic faith and a retired Union Carpenter. He was a master craftsman that built everything from his car to his house with his own hands. He enjoyed car shows, car racing, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends, but the joy of his life was being his grandchildren's "PaPa Tuckey". Survivors include two children James A. "Jimmy" McFarland (Lauren) of Frankfort, IL and Katharine A. Anderson (Keith) of Morris, IL; a step-son Robert Brandolino (Karole); grandchildren Quinn & Emersyn McFarland, Cole & Will Anderson and Gianni & Elianna Brandolino; siblings Patrick McFarland, John McFarland (Chris), Donald McFarland (Rita), Virginia Alessio (Jim), Mary Claudio (Tom), William McFarland, Paula Murrell (Donald), Roger McFarland, Robert Sutton (Lorraine) and Lori Sutton; a special friend Lana Warren; his K-9 companion Hank and many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him dearly.
