Marion (Derby) Smith, 88, Columbia, KY (1933-2021) Marion "Derby" Smith of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 88 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Steve Martin, Bro. Terry Shelley and Bro. Randy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 10amCT on Sunday. He was born April 14, 1933, in Adair County, to the late Stanley and Myrtie Willis Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Wesley Smith on November 29, 2007, one brother, Mason Smith and two sisters, Mary Frances "Shorty" Brockman, Jeanette Gross. Derby was a member and Deacon of Shiloh Christian Church, a life-long farmer, member of the Adair County Cattlemen's Association, served on the FSA Board for many years and served as Magistrate on the Adair Fiscal Court.
