Charles Leon Parnell, 74, Green County, KY Charles Leon Parnell of Center Community of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Demon Parnell and Ann Edwards Parnell, was born on Tuesday, June 10, 1947 in Adair County and departed this life on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home. He was 74 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was employed with Ken-Dec as a buffer. He brought love, laughter and joy to all who knew him. He loved growing flowers, raising chickens and watching the hummingbirds. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Juanita Sue Mouser Parnell of Center, having united in marriage on March 16, 1968. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Andy and Trina Parnell of Center; a daughter: Angelia Jewell and companion, Robert Vincent of Hardyville; 10 grandchildren: Corey Parnell and his wife, Darby, Takeda Parnell, Stephen Parnell, Andrew Parnell, Chevie Parnell, Chevelle Parnell all of Center, James Jewell, Daniel Jewell, Joshua Jewell all of Hardyville, Renea Boaz and her husband, Nic of Leitchfield; a great-grandchild: Daxton Lee Parnell of Center; and a host of brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Charles Leon Parnell will be conducted at 4pmCT Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Houk Cemetery. Bro. Jamey Stamps officiating. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
