Golf: LWC Women in 2nd at Blue Raider Invitational By Kyle Jackson The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team currently sits in second place at the Blue Raider Invitational at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders combined to shoot 305 at the par-71, 6,247-yard design. Megan Mann currently sits tied for the lead after firing a round of 74 to start the invitational. The junior from Norwich, England racked up two birdies and 12 pars over her 18-hole day. Malene Clausen sits two strokes behind the lead in sixth place after shooting a 76 on the day. The sophomore hit 14 pars before a string of three straight bogeys on her last three holes. Claire McLaughlin and Katie Biddlecome are both tied for seventh after hitting opening rounds of 77. McLaughlin's three-over-par round featured two birdies and nine pars while Biddlecome managed one birdie and 11 pars. Zofia Wojcik rounds out the top ten as she sits tied in 10th place after an opening round of 78 Wojcik managed a birdie on her opening hole and hit 11 pars. Hannah Sumner produced an 81 to tie for 15th place. The sophomore managed a birdie and eight pars in her opening round. Lauren Holeman sits tied for 21st after an opening-round score of 84. Paige Gray and Marlie Shirley both sit tied for 27th after hitting an 89 to start the tournament. Campbellsville University is in first place after an opening-round score of 297.
