Bobby Eugene Hubbard, 82, Russell Springs, KY (1938-2021) Bobby Eugene Hubbard of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation, in Jamestown. He was 82 years old. Funeral services will be held at 10amCT on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Russell Springs First Baptist Church, with Bro. Jeff Griffin and Bro. Jeric Devore officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pmCT to 8pmCT on Sunday, at Russell Springs First Baptist Church, and from 8amCT on Monday, until time for services. Born on December 31, 1938, in Russell County, he was the son of the late James Walter and Lena Martin Hubbard. Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved tending to his garden. In 1966, Bobby and his late wife, Pauline, founded Hubbard's Building Supply, in Russell Springs. He was a member Russell Springs First Baptist Church, Gideons International, and a Veteran of the US Army. Survivors include a son, Jeff (and Glenna) Hubbard, of Russell Springs; a brother, James B. Hubbard, of Jamestown; a sister, Enola Catron, of Louisville; two granddaughters, Amity (and John) Onders, of Littleton, CO, and Mariah Hubbard, of Russell Springs. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline Emerson Hubbard; a son, Kevin Estus Hubbard; and eight siblings. Pallbearers for Bobby will be Charles M. Smith, Steve Gaskin, Ned Cunningham, Joseph Luttrell, Joe Richards, Charles Emerson, and Faye Cook, who was a special care-giver. The Hubbard family requests facial coverings be worn by everyone in attendance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gideons International.
