Wise considering a run for Governor in 2023 According to reports from various state news outlets, Senator Max Wise is considering a run to be the Republican candiate for Governor in 2023. WLEX says that Wise was singled out as one of a couple of names "you'll be hearing a lot about" by Rep. James Comer at a Fancy Farm event recently. Wise, a Campbellsville native, is currently serving his second term in the Kentucky Senate, representing the 16th District which encompasses Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne Counties.
