Wise considering a run for Governor in 2023 According to reports from various state news outlets, Senator Max Wise is considering a run to be the Republican candiate for Governor in 2023. WLEX says that Wise was singled out as one of a couple of names "you'll be hearing a lot about" by Rep. James Comer at a Fancy Farm event recently. Wise, a Campbellsville native, is currently serving his second term in the Kentucky Senate, representing the 16th District which encompasses Adair, Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne Counties. He is Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Education; as well as co-chairman of the Education Assessment and Accountability Review Subcommittee. This story was posted on 2021-08-19 13:10:41
