County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP)

The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board recently approved $172,675 in Agricultural Development Funds for the 2021 Adair County CAIP program (County Agricultural Investment Program) to be administered by the Adair County Cattlemen's Association.

CAIP offers 11 investment areas that provide Kentucky agricultural producers cost-share assistance on practices that increase net farm income and opportunities to try new/innovative technologies or systems that improve farm efficiency and productivity. This program is a 50% cost-share program with a maximum funding of $1,500 per farm operation. Applications will be available August 10 through August 31, 2021.

How to obtain an application, beginning on Tuesday, August 10, 2021:
  • In-person: pick-up is available at the Adair Co. Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY.
  • Online: visit and follow the link CAIP (County Agriculture Investment Program) under the Ag & Natural Resources page.
  • Email: Call the Extension Office at 270-384-2317 to request an application be emailed to you.
Original signed applications must be returned to the Adair County Extension Office by the deadline of August 31, 2021. For more information contact the Extension Office at 270-384-2317.
