Bobby L. McFelia, 89, Greensburg, KY (1931-2021)

Bobby L. McFelia of Greensburg passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 89 years old.

The funeral services for Bobby L. McFelia will be conducted at 11amCT on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Jonathan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service.


Bobby L. McFelia of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Jonnie McFelia and Grace Sidebottom McFelia, was born on Monday, August 17, 1931 in Hart County, Kentucky.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church. He was a former machine operator for Brown & Williams Inc., later worked for the Greensburg Post Office and was a farmer. Mr. McFelia was also a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Mary Simmons McFelia on September 13, 1996 having united in marriage on August 9, 1963. He later united in marriage to Betty Pruitt McFelia on April 21, 1999 who survives.

Other survivors include a son: Gary McFelia of Campbellsville; a step-son: Andy Sigmon of Greensburg; two granddaughters: Tina Blakeman and her husband, Brian, and Kimberly Shofner and her husband, Shaun all of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren: Abigail Blakeman, Sarah Blakeman, Allison Shofner, and Mason Shofner all of Campbellsville; a step-grandchild: Noah Sigmon of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Macedonia Cemetery or the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
