KDFWR Traffic Safety Checkpoint locations for July 2021 By Officer Cody Berry, Conservation Officer I 4th District Law Enforcement Division Kentucky Conservation Officers will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints throughout Green River Wildlife Management Area during the month of July to check motorist for compliance with motor vehicle laws including driving under the influence statutes. Conservation Officers utilize safety checkpoints in an effort to promote safety for motorists and outdoor enthusiasts using WMA's and to provide a deterrent for those who violate Kentucky Revised Statutes and Kentucky Administrative Regulations. Below is a list of supervisory-approved traffic safety checkpoint locations for Adair and Taylor Counties:
The goal of Conservation Officer traffic safety checkpoints are to provide a high visibility, public safety service targeting motor vehicle compliance and safety. Drivers who encounter a traffic safety checkpoint are requested to have readily available their operator's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration receipt. Drivers with this documentation in hand and no other violations of the law, can expect their delay to be brief. Kentucky Conservation Officers are committed to providing a safe environment for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources managed lands.
