Lorene Wilson Harston Gumm, 81, Green County, KY

Lorene Wilson Harston, was born on Tuesday, March 12, 1940 and departed this life on Friday, July 2, 2021. She was 81 years, 3 months and 21 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. She was a retired teacher of 27 years having been employed by the Green County High School and the Kentucky State Traffic School. She was a member of the Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association.



Survived by her husband of over 60 years, Larry Dale Gumm of Greensburg, having united in marriage on August 5, 1960.

Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Debbie Gumm of Campbellsville and Greg and Laura Gumm of Florida; four grandchildren and a spouse: Jeffrey Gumm of Louisville, Josh and Maddie Gumm of Campbellsville, Lydia Gumm of Texas and Dale Gumm of Florida; three great grandchildren: Emery Gumm, Emmett Gumm and Eleanor Gumm and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Martha Jane Harston Gumm will be conducted at 11amCT Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Blake Jessie and Bro. Todd Young will be officiating.

Visitation is requested to be from 4-8pmCT Sunday and after 7am Monday until time of the service.

The family has requested that memorials take the form of donations to the Greensburg Cemetery fund or to the Greensburg Baptist Church Sunday School fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Women's #1 Sunday School Class Greensburg Baptist Church.
