Ernest Drexel Curry, 66, Greensburg, KY (1955-2021) Mr. Ernest Drexel Curry of Greensburg passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was 66 years old. The funeral services for Drexel Curry will be conducted at 2pmCT on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Cliffton Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until the time of the funeral service. Mr. Ernest Drexel Curry, son of the late Ernest Curry and Laverne Slinker Curry, was born on Sunday, April 10, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Farmdale Baptist Church in Louisville. Drexel was a hard worker and somewhat of a "jack-of-all-trades". Some of his occupations included Alcoa Aluminum, Cox's Cabinet Company and most recently his self-owned business-ADC Builders. Drexel's interests were as numerous and varied as his abilities. He loved the outdoors, hunting, trail riding, raising animals, bartering and trading almost anything to name a few. However, there was nothing Drexel loved more than to sit and tell a story, of this he was a master! Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will miss sitting for hours and listening totally immersed in his stories, laughing and enjoying every word as he captivated their hearts and minds. Survivors include his beloved son, Anthony Curry of Greensburg, who was the pride and joy of his life. Also survived by two sisters and a brother: Watana Duncan of Conyers, Georgia, Latoka Moody of Louisville, Kentucky, and Dr. Daryl Curry of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pierce Community Cemetery Fund or the Kosair Children's Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Jason Moody, Ronnie Duncan, Bryar Chase, Reece Cox, Heizer Durrett, Jeremy DeSpain Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
