Kathy Lynn Fancher Slinker, 56, Metcalfe County, KY Kathy Lynn Fancher Slinker, 56, of Savoyard, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born November 9, 1964, the daughter of Donnie Lee Fancher and Janus Carol Trowbridge Fancher of Center. Kathy had a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was an employee of TJ Health in Columbia. She worked for over 30 years in healthcare and specialized in Emergency care. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Kathy was a fun and loving person who devoted her life to her girls and her "littles" (grandchildren). She loved to travel and enjoyed working outside. She took pride in her lovely flowers and treated her pets like family. She truly had a servant's heart and a deep desire to mother and care for everyone she knew. Besides her parents, she is survived by siblings and children with their families. Her two daughters: Nicole and husband Austin Rodenberg of Louisville, Kentucky and Kellie and husband Tyler Mann of Columbia, Kentucky. She has six grandchildren: Blakely, Mollie and Willa Mann and Evelynn, Liam and Mila Rodenberg. Her two sisters Anita Whisman of Cave City and Amanda and husband Charles Newton of Center and a beloved nephew, Jace Newton also survive as well as many friends that she "adopted" into her family through the years. Funeral services for Kathy Slinker will be held 11amCT Friday, April 30, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sulphur Well, KY. Burial will follow at the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at the church and from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Friday morning. We are sure she would want her grandchildren to be everyone's number one priority. They love her so much and their little hearts are breaking. We're asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the 'grandkids' educational fund'. Donations can be made by contacting Edmonton State Bank, Butler Funeral home, or to any family member directly. This story was posted on 2021-04-28 07:47:37
