LWC Baseball to battle Shawnee State at home Friday

By Brady Budke

The Lindsey Wilson baseball team has earned a No. 4 seed in the 2021 Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament. With this, the team will battle No. 9-seed Shawnee State (Ohio) in the opening round at Egnew Park.

The opening round is a best two-out-of-three series. The winner will move on to play at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The Blue Raiders will battle the Bears in a doubleheader on Friday beginning at noon CT. If necessary, the teams will play the deciding game on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT.

The two programs played this season back on March 11 and 12. LWC won the series by claiming two of three games at Egnew Park.

The Lindsey Wilson baseball team is set to close out the regular season on Wednesday at home against No. 20 IU-Southeast (Ind.) beginning at 4 p.m. CT. A full preview for the opening round series against the Bears will be available later at www.lindseyathletics.com.
