Franklin Allen, Taylor County, KY (1934-2021)

Franklin Allen of Campbellsville, son of the late Milton Allen and Katherine Croft, was born on January 19, 1934 and passed away April 20, 2021 at his home.

He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War from 1954 - 1956. He worked and retired as a foreman after 44 years with Ingersoll Rand. During his career he was given a choice of locations and he chose Campbellsville, KY as their new home. He loved tinkering, woodworking, and repairing old cars in his spare time.



Franklin is survived by his beloved wife Madeline Jean Nageli Allen. They were united in marriage 68 years ago on November 22, 1953.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Paul Allen and wife, Gail, of Campbellsville; Tom Allen and wife, Kim, of Campbellsville; and, Katherine Allen Patterson of Rochester, New York; three grandchildren: Madeline Baleno and husband, Kevin, of Rochester, NY; Jake Patterson and wife, Michele, of Rochester, NY; Ann Allen of Campbellsville, KY; one great-grandchild: Ellie Rose Baleno; and, one sister: Kay Witter of Osceola, Pennsylvania; and many other relatives and friends.

Franklin was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Eldon Allen and Doris Farmelo.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmET Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Auberry Funeral Home. Burial will be at the OLPH Catholic Church cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Social distancing guidelines and masks are required upon entering the building.
