IMAGINE! Youth Theatre to return as an in-person camp in June
TheatreFest!, the Summer Theatre at Lindsey Wilson College, will hold a day camp known as IMAGINE! Youth Theatre starting Monday, June 7, through Thursday, June 24 2021. The camp will culminate in a showcase conceived and performed by the students!
IMAGINE! Youth Theatre will run Monday through Thursday mornings from 8amCT to NoonCT beginning Monday, June 7 through Thursday, June 24, 2021, in V.P Henry Auditorium. The camp is open to students ages 8-18, and is $100 per student. In accordance with state and college guidelines, masks will be worn by all involved with this year's IMAGINE! Youth Theatre camp.
For more information or to register your child, please visit www.theatrefest.org or contact Jeremy Cloyd at firstname.lastname@example.org or (270) 427-6848.
"The past three summers have been an incredible experience for me, the TheatreFest! Interns, and the kids" says Associate Artistic Director Jeremy Cloyd. "While last summer's camp was different, I am proud of the work that each student was able to do virtually and so thankful for their willingness to participate!"
IMAGINE! Youth Theatre will produce a showcase that is developed by the students under the guidance of TheatreFest! Interns and Education Artists. This year's camp will be unique in that the students will have the opportunity to work together to create something that they can then showcase to their family and friends.
"This is going to be a thrilling summer for all of us" says Artistic Director Robert Brock. "These students are going to experience the power of theatre in person for the first time since the pandemic began!"
