Adair County Elementary School SBDM Election 2021-2022

Adair County Elementary School is accepting parent nominations for the SBDM Council until 3pmCT on Friday, April 30, 2021. All nomination forms can be sent to school by a student or dropped off in the front office at Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Dr, Columbia, KY.

Parents may nominate themselves or another parent. The nomination form can be downloaded here:

Eligible candidates: Parents must have a student enrolled or pre-registered to attend the school for the year they will be serving on the school council.

The definition of a parent is defined to include parent, step-parent, foster parent and/or a person who has legal custody of a student pursuant to a court order and with whom the student resides.

Ineligible candidates:
  • Parent who is an employee, or the relative of an employee, of the school in which they wish to serve
  • An employee or a relative of an employee in the district administrative offices
  • A local board of education member or member's spouse
Elected parent members must agree to complete the school council member training. If you are nominating someone other than yourself, please make sure that person is willing to run in the election.
