LWC Baseball prepares for final conference series at Bethel By Brady Budke The regular season is quickly approaching its end for the Lindsey Wilson baseball team, who has just one Mid-South Conference series remaining. That final series will take place today and tomorrow with the team traveling to Bethel (TN) to face the Wildcats in a three game series. Today will feature a single game beginning at 6pmCT. Saturday will be a doubleheader beginning at 1pmCT. Live stats will be available for free, while there will be a streaming charge for live video during the series. Please view the Bethel Fan Attendance Policy and Guidelines for more information regarding attendance. Bethel (15-14, 10-8 MSC) enters the series losers of three out of the last four games. However, the team recently corralled a staggering 24-0 victory over Talladega (Ala.) back on Saturday, April 10. The Wildcats are averaging 5.3 runs per game on offense while allowing a 5.1 runs per game average to opponents in return. A player to watch for BU is Jacob Foster, who has made appearances in all 29 of the teams games while adding a team-high 38 hits and nine doubles. As for Lindsey Wilson (17-19, 11-10 MSC), the team has dropped two straight games, recently falling at the hands of No. 20 IU Southeast (Ind.) on the road back on Wednesday. Offensively, the Blue Raiders are averaging 7.3 runs per game on 9.8 hits per game, both of which rank second-best in the conference. However, on defense the team is allowing the most hits to opponents per game in the conference (10.1) while holding the second-worst mark in runs allowed per game (7.6).
