Terry Lee Goodin, 65, Columbia, KY (1955-2021)

Terry Lee Goodin of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Russell County Hospital. He was 65 years of age.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2pmCT on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Scott Proctor and Bro. Jeff Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home.

Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required.


Born on December 19, 1955, in Somerset, he was the son of the late Elbert and Lois Holt Goodin. He married Kathy McKinley on October 19, 1974. Terry ministered for 38 years, pastoring churches in Russell, Pulaski, Casey and Adair Counties. He was a member of White's Chapel Separate Baptist Church. For many years, Terry was the owner and operator of T. Goodin Fertilizer. He was a member of the Hood Masonic Lodge #839. Terry loved riding his Harley Davidson and loved the time spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Kathy Goodin, of Columbia; his sons, Brandon Terald Goodin (and Carrie), of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Brently Goodin (and Hannah), of Russell Springs; his daughter, Lindsay Williams (and David), of Russell Springs; his brothers, Dr. Robert Goodin, of Louisville, Donnie Goodin, of Louisville, Dr. Dale Goodin (and Cheryl), Versailles, and Jerry Goodin (and Carolyn), of Columbia; seven grandchildren; and his special furry friend, "Chewie".

Along with his parents, preceding Terry in death are his brother, Fred Goodin; and his sisters, Linda Burton, Joyce Durham and Sue Newton.

Robb Durham, Eric Goodin, Jason Goodin, Paxton Goodin, Mason Goodin and Michael Daniel will serve as Terry's pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to: St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital at stjude.org
