LWC Men's Tennis wins 10th straight match with Pikeville sweep By Kyle Jackson Pikeville, KY - Lindsey Wilson men's tennis won its 10th match in a row on Wednesday with a 7-0 win over Pikeville (KY). The 10th-ranked Blue Raiders (11-1, 8-0 in the MSC) remain undefeated in conference play on the season. The Blue Raiders swept the doubles point to begin the afternoon as Tiago Almeida and Steven Espinoza defeated Luis Gayaso and Fernando Proano 6-2. No. 14-ranked Camilo Erazo and Aleksa Ciric followed up with a 6-4 victory of their own over Juan Alzate and Carlos Villamizar in the top-ranked match to secure the one-point lead into the singles. Ciric, ranked No. 38 in the NAIA, extended the Lindsey Wilson lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Villamizar. Jan Silhavy moved the Blue Raiders score to 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 victory in the top-seeded match of the afternoon over Timur Chsherbakov. No. 27 Camilo Erazo won the fourth set of the afternoon with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Alzate for the 4-0 lead. Espinoza defeated Juan Medina 3-6, 6-0, 1-0 while Anatoliy Voloshyn defeated Proano 6-1, 6-1. Nicolas Torrealba secured the victory with a 6-0, 6-1 win in the final singles competition of the afternoon. Men's tennis will return to Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on April 9 & 10 to close out their regular season against Shawnee State (Ohio) and Thomas More (KY).
