LWC Men's Track & Field takes Second at Centre Invitational By Kyle Jackson Danville, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team took second place at the Centre Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Raiders racked up four first-place finishes during the event. Levi Owens took first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase when he crossed the finish line at nine minutes and thirty seconds, earning a "B" cut in the event. Mike Schonter took first place in the 1500-meter run when he broke the line in 4:05.43 seconds as Jim Headrick finished just behind in fifth place with a time of 4:10.14 seconds. Noah Brown took seventh place in the event with a time of 4:11.26 seconds and Victor Clark finished off the top ten with a ninth-place finish clocking in at 4:17.83 seconds. Ahumed Williams won the 110-meter hurdles finishing just shy of a "B" cut with a time of 14.99 seconds. Tevon Williamson finished in fourth place with a time of 17.40. Tyler Greenwell managed the best finish for the Blue Raiders in the 100-meter run finishing seventh with a time of 11.52 seconds with Jevon Leavell finishing just behind in eighth with a time of 11.55 and Josiah Harris took ninth with a time of 11.57 seconds. Three Blue Raiders managed top-ten finishes in the 200-meter run with Jaylun Wallace taking second place with a time of 22.67 seconds. K'ron Sherald finished sixth with a time of 23.32 while Brenden Parham finished just behind in seventh with a time of 23.45 seconds. In the 800-meter run, Schonter took third place finishing with a time of 2:00.35 seconds while Noah Brown finished in seventh with a time of 2:02.49 seconds. In the 400-meter hurdles, Hunter Wethington took second place finishing with a time of 1:02.38 while John Rowe finished fifth crossing the line with a 1:05.24 final time. As for the field events, Elias Foor headlined the Discus Throw as he took first place with a mark of 48.63-meters for a "B" cut. Austin Campbell finished fifth in the event throwing for 44.04-meters. Foor continued his success into the Shot Put as he finished second throwing for 14.12-meters. Campbell finished just behind in third, throwing for 14.09-meters. Brandon Fields produced a distance of 38.37 meters in the hammer throw to finish in 11th place and Cameron Harris finished fourth in the Pole Vault launching for 3.00-meters. Justin Borden jumped for a length of 1.85-meters to finish third in the High Jump while Tevon Williamson jumped for 1.75-meters to finish seventh. Rayne-Jones Foster jumped for 13.65-meters to take second place in the Triple Jump with Robert Dyer finishing in seventh place jumping for 12.72-meters. In the Long Jump, Greenwell jumped for 5.90-meters to round out the top ten. The Blue Raiders return to action on April 9th when they take to the Centre Twilight in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
