William Leonard Walls, 74, Casey County, KY (1946-2021) William Leonard Walls, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at his home. He was 74. Born on August 15, 1946, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late William and R. Vester Streevals Walls. Leonard was a Forest Ranger for more than twenty-five years. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Leonard was a good father and friend. He loved music and was an avid Louisville Cardinals basketball fan. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Ann (and Mike) Lawson of Pheonix, Arizona, and Rebecca Stamper of Nancy; four sisters, Pauline Payton of Liberty, Neva (and Bobby) Randolph of Indiana, Donna (and Johnny) Wheeler of Gravel Switch, and Kathy (and Bobby) Salyers of Frankfort; a half-sister, Julie Walls of Adair County; four grandchildren, Katelyn, Brittany, Josh, and Jonathon; and a great-granddaughter, Scarlett. Other survivors include two special friends, Glenna “Stogey” Emerson of Liberty and Dale Streeval Wilkinson of Moreland. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, William Johnny Walls; two sisters, Charlene Peek and Linda Wheeler; and a grandson, Dalton Maloy. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Huggins officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11-2 Tuesday. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance.
