KY 61 temporarily reduced to one lane in Cumberland Co. By Amber Hale The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 8 advises motorists that starting Friday, March 26, the KY 61 bridge (mile point 10) over the Cumberland River in Burkesville will be temporarily reduced to one lane for cleaning and painting. Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the north and south bound approaches for the lane closure. In addition, the speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph through the work zone and lane widths reduced to 12'. Work is expected to be completed June 11. The starting date and duration of the lane closures may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destination. This story was posted on 2021-03-26 06:45:44
