Desmond Lee McGowan, 79, Russell County, KY (1941-2021) Desmond Lee McGowan, age 79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, March 23 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was a member and trustee of Parks Ridge Church of God, a retired maintenance employee of Ford Motor Company and a Veteran of the United States Army. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene McGowan and a sister Jackie Bailey. Military honors performed by the Russell County Honor Guard. He was born on Wednesday, July 9, 1941, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the son of Susie Tucker McGowan and Elvis Lee McGowan who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Linda McGowan of Russell Springs, KY Son Desmond Lee McGowan, spouse Kelly, of Hamilton OH. 2 Brothers: Frankie McGowan and Freddie McGowan, of Russell Springs One grandson, Devin McGowan and three step grand-children, Michael and Mel Hargis, Katie and Ki Hargis and a great grand-daughter, Ava Hargis. Funeral services will be 1pmCT Saturday, March 27 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will begin atSaturday. Officiating: Bro. Billy Silverman.
