LWC Turner earns WBCA Award for third time By Kyle Jackson Reagan Turner has been named to the 2021 WBCA NAIA Coaches' All-American Team as an honorable mention, WBCA officials announced on Monday. This is the third time the senior from Gamaliel, Ky. has received an award from the WBCA in her career with Lindsey Wilson. Turner averaged a career-best 22.2 points per game this season. She finished the season as the second-highest PPG scorer in the Mid-South Conference and fourth highest in the NAIA. In addition to this, Turner also finished the season leading the MSC in free throw percentage, shooting 87 percent from the line. Turner shot 52 percent from the field this season, averaging 5.2 rebounds per game and 3 assists per outing. In addition to earning the WBCA honor, Turner was named MSC Player of the Year earlier this season and became the programs all-time leading scorer at 2,223 points. Turner joins Thomas More's (Ky.) Zoie Barth, Shawnee State's (Ohio) Brandie Snow, Pikeville's (Ky.) Brianna Burbridge and Campbellsville's (Ky.) Sammy Rogers as one of the five women from the Mid-South Conference to receive the WBCA honor. Lindsey Wilson finished the season with a 19-6 record and earned a berth into the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Tournament field where they lost in the opening round of the competition.
